Upgrade descaling units The AQUAS^® H-Valve is designed to allow neutralised acid descaling solutions to be pumped directly to foul drain and for descaled appliances to be thoroughly flushed out with fresh mains water. It can be used with ALL descaling units fitted with H" or I" hoses and connectors. Adaptors are provided. Neutralising acid descalers Environmental Regulations require contractors to neutralise acid waste prior to disposal. The neutralising solution is added to the descaling unit tank in the normal way and circulated for the recommended time. Safer handling The AQUAS^® H-Valve enables neutralised acid to be pumped direct to foul drain and so eliminates the need to lift the descaling unit (which is heavy when full), carry it to the drain and pour out the effulent. Pumping out avoids the risk of splashing either the operator or the customer's funishings. Rinsing heat exchangers The AQUAS^® H-Valve enables the heat exchanger, boiler, or appliance to be flushed with mains water after descaling. Operators can then ensure every last drop of descaler and neutraliser is removed. Extend life of descaling pump Clean water flushing after descaling brings the additional benefit of rinsing the descaling pump which can help extend its service life. Integral double check valve To ensure compliance with Water Regulations regarding back-flow prevention, regardless of connection point, a double check valve is incorprated in the design.	Operation (see Fig 1 above) The mains tap, drain and inlet valves are shut whilst the descaling and neutralising solutions are circulated. To flush the system, ensure the pump is switched on and then open the mains water tap and the drain valve. As the fluid level in the descaling unit tank begins to drops, the inlet valve is opened. The inlet and drain valves are then adjusted to keep the tank level within its recommended max and min levels. When all traces of chemicals have been removed, the mains tap and inlet valve are shut and the tank pumped out.
